Jet White Shades
02:08
|
|
||
My babyz so good in her jet white shades,
some smokey sunday afternoon,
with windows down she waves goodbye,
and leaves my mind up in the sky,,,
and if she calls me
ill be right over
she knows shes got me
RIGHT WHERE SHE WANTS ME
when the sun comes out it stays awhile,
the kids are smiling in their shoes,
wake from a dream to find her there,
where the sunlight floats into my room..
and as the day spins
thats where we'll begin
and as the night falls
thats where we'll close our eyes
and if she calls me
ill be right over
she knows shes got me
RIGHT WHERE SHE WANTS ME!!!
OOOOHHHHAAAA OOOOHAAAAAAA

Once Again
04:38
|
|
||
Through the heat waves, eyes awake in deep shades rest
On the wooden steps to the backdoor
Now that I’ve found this, dread to see it float away
Now that you’re here I can let myself breathe
In and out to the calm breeze
Surrounded under the old trees
A photograph of the young times
Of days blurry and inside
Oh once again, I’ll find a light, at the end of the hall
Sounds from outside, barefoot and white, radio waves spins me down
With tired eyes, feeling alright, all my fears will dissolve
And once again, I’ll find a light, at the end of the hall
I’ll call, I’ll call, I’ll call, call you over
And let you, let you, let you, back inside
I feel a jitter, haunting as the winter air
Strange as the dreams that I sometimes recall
It fades away, some quick cut to a lovely girl
Whispers to me, thinks it’s time that I breathe
In and out to the calm breeze
Surrounded under the old trees
A photograph of the young times
Of days blurry and inside

Dreams of Mine
04:53
|
|
||
I get a feeling of love and relief
From the car parked outside and the shapes of my sheets
I get a smile in the room full of light
When I know in my heart that things will go right
So I don’t ever want ta have t, bruise these eyes again
I’m digging the man, out on the street
Always asking the time, smoking cigs to the beat
Hands in his pockets, he gives me a grin
Like an old lost friend, how was yr weekend?
But I can’t explain it; bus is blinking, step up to the door
These dreams of mine, take up most my time (I see you walking by)
These dreams of mine, keep me lost inside my mind
I’m cutting my classes, up with a knife,
Just boy in a cap with the moon by my side
Where did he go to? I don’t really know
Something inside him snuck off as he woke
And he was so silent, in the morning, see him slip away
I still remember, oh she was kind
Just like a tiger, clawing his spine
The radio light was all that I knew
And all that I cared for was stuck inside you
Still he won’t ever, want ta have to, bruise these eyes again
In the darkness, yes, let them shut, and keep on waiting
Sweetly with yr bones, pressed upon the place where I am

Radio Light
03:43
|
|

Radio light, yr all I know
Except the flower headed girls that pass on by
Radio light, yr all I know
So shine those teeth along the road
Cause I will be the one to take you home
I will be the one, with the colors crossed below the eyes,
Oh I, Oh I, Oh I see you
And I, And I, Oh I know its right
Silvery streets, wind around
These old houses that we’ve found
Silvery streets, wind around
And I’m so high when the sun goes down
Cause I will be the one to take you home
I will be the one, with the colors crossed below the eyes,
Oh I, Oh I, Oh I see you
And I, And I, oh I know its right
Keep yr head on now
The moonlight is our friend
Keep yr head on now
We’ll be here again

S.O.S.
04:12
|
|

Head spinning round, in your doorway dreamt your lips
Clothes stacked outside, on top of the chair
The neighborhood smoker, is silently preparing
For a brief departure, from the SOS
And I see clouds, now raining down, they can’t keep me away
My head full to the brim, with one destination
As all the people, speed on by
I’ll walk over, walk over new
Left turn quick, pull right into the station
Give my teeth a click, to the money making man
Attentive am I, feeling just like a blue pill
I let my shades, do all the small talking
And the cars switch lanes, in the blur of constant motion
Heart beats fast for one single location
As all the people, speed on by
I’ll walk over, walk over new...again

Hi Way
02:18
|
|
||
Car in motion, car in motion
Take my body, to the ocean
I’ve been waiting
I’ve been patient
And I won’t be late, I won’t be late
Set my watch right, for the big day
I’ve been stranded
Empty handed
Watch me leave in the rays of the sun
Windows down, it won’t matter
Watch me leave in the rays of the sun
In a highway goodbye

Long Lost Fires
03:55
|
|
||
Flying through a little place for dancing
I know you don’t know every boy in this town
Strange desires...long lost fires
I’m not the type to keep it all inside
I know what that becomes on a lonely night
Still I’ll stay out and watch the stars with you
Yeah I’ll rewrite my mind for two
Wading in the smoke clouds of a high school dream
In-between the places that they long to be
Old confessions with new depressions

Simple City Foxes
03:38
|
|
||
Set my eyes on a gold and silver sun
Lord I know I was washed up, I was done
Wishing for the winter, and hoping for the best
I found god in the midnight faces that helped me get to rest
People settle down, pick a brand new town
Simple city foxes, simple city foxes
Move in time, to a coastline far away
The state of Texas is the only place I’ve ever stayed
Still I dream of myself, in yr apartment making tapes
Seawall motion with car expressways and red lights, as I wake
People settle down, pick a brand new town
Simple city foxes, simple city foxes

Clean Sheets
05:45
|
|
||
They go and hit the town, neon lights, up and down
While I hang around, on clean sheets, wondering how
The stranger side, with walls so white
The stranger side, of something new
The stranger side, within the night
The stranger side; that fits the room
Could feel alright, a kiss so tired, and goodnight
I found a treasure from the sea, by mistake, well it found me
And I’m still feeling free, safe within, the mysteries of
The stranger side, of growing old
The stranger side, of feeling lonely
The stranger side, when friends seem cold
Or the stranger side, which overcomes me
Time to time, straight up my spine, so unkind
As they swam with ya, reset my camera
I focused in between, the light rays glowing green
I know it’s not the same, life is outside the frame
That’s why we keep it there, so we can, always sit, and stare
From the stranger side
