Dreams of Mine

from Radio Light by Milezo

/

lyrics

I get a feeling of love and relief
From the car parked outside and the shapes of my sheets
I get a smile in the room full of light
When I know in my heart that things will go right
So I don’t ever want ta have t, bruise these eyes again
I’m digging the man, out on the street
Always asking the time, smoking cigs to the beat
Hands in his pockets, he gives me a grin
Like an old lost friend, how was yr weekend?
But I can’t explain it; bus is blinking, step up to the door

These dreams of mine, take up most my time (I see you walking by)
These dreams of mine, keep me lost inside my mind

I’m cutting my classes, up with a knife,
Just boy in a cap with the moon by my side
Where did he go to? I don’t really know
Something inside him snuck off as he woke
And he was so silent, in the morning, see him slip away
I still remember, oh she was kind
Just like a tiger, clawing his spine
The radio light was all that I knew
And all that I cared for was stuck inside you
Still he won’t ever, want ta have to, bruise these eyes again

In the darkness, yes, let them shut, and keep on waiting
Sweetly with yr bones, pressed upon the place where I am
